Delhi is a vast city. It has a large homeless population spread across 1400 sq. km. area. In order to coordinate the citizen-NGO-government response,to homelessness the Government of Delhi has appointed a Mother NGO for Homeless. Currently this responsibility is carried out by the Community Health Department of St. Stephen’s Hospital.
